I have a 4s. I'm waiting on the iPhone 6 to compare to the galaxy s5. If I'm not impressed in jumping to the galaxy.

I'm in the same boat, except I have an S2. So if you're stone age, what am I?!

I will be upgrading soon, though. There are more and more apps not compatible with my OS version. And my touch screen seems to not work at random when texting. So I have to keep going back to the home screen, opening another app, and then getting back to my message. It kind of reboots my screen/keyboard that way.

The iphone looks interesting because of the fitness tracking suite. And as far as Apple products, I only have an ipad, so I'm not sure how much integration among devices I'll be able to take advantage of. But I think the 6 may be too big. The S2 is already big enough.

I do like the Sony Xperias but am concerned about support, since Sony is not a major player. And just to have something new, I'd like to try something besides an S5, though it seems that's the direction I'm going in.

I do want to hold an iphone 6 before deciding, though.

iOS8 is out now, but without whacking apps, there's no way I'm going to get 4.7g of free space on my 16g phone. Good thing I have a 64g 6 arriving Friday.

I ordered a 128 GB 6, I'm not sold on making much use of it though. I'm a bit peeved that the only non-tethered option is for purchase through T-Mobile, although I suppose it is compatible on any GSM network given it's unlocked.

Even more crazy, I'm still using a Samsung Captivate which is basically a Galaxy S1. It is rooted, so I have been able to keep up with newer Android OS versions via CyanogenMod. It's running pretty slow now though.

I've also been looking at the Sony Xperia phones and am considering a Xperia Z3 Compact. Unlike other small versions of flagship phones, this one has the same specs as the full size Z3 aside from screen size and resolution. Depending on price, this is the direction I'm leaning.

I just took advantage of the deal in Verizon. You can trade a iPhone 4s for a $200 gift card right now. With a 2 year contract you can get the iPhone 6 16g for about $200, basically making it free except for taxes and upgrade fee.
Also by purchasing the iPhone 6 they gave me an additional $200 credit towards the purchase of an ipad or ipad mini. Not Bad.

They are offering really good deals like this. I had an old iPhone 4 laying around and they are offering $200 for it so long as I am getting a new iPhone 6 (which I am). The phone is really only worth about $50 so it is a screaming deal!

i question that $200 trade in for the 4S.. i was offered $200 for my iphone 5 32gb and $85 for my iphone 4s from verizon

They are offering $200 for pretty much anything I think so long as you are buying a new iPhone 6 as well. On their site they list the actual value of my 4 as $40 but they have a $160 "promotion value" on it.
