The Aztec is probably the ugliest American car, but the Fiat Multipla is an abomination. It makes an AMC Pacer look good.

Always hated the Aztek, and the Multipla is a great choice, as well. But for me, the ugliest of all time is the Toyota Mirai. For some reason, I don't just hate the styling; it actually OFFENDS me. I just feel it was styled by a 6-year-old.... although that characterization may actually be unfair to 6-year-olds.

It does have a Lego block look to it... As if a six-year-old built it.

I dont understand how the aztek is apparently uglier than the multipla. Like the aztek is definitely ugly but i’d drive it if i had to. Id walk before i drove a multipla

The Aztec was ugly for it's time, but I think it's actually aged pretty well in the era of jellybean crossovers.

It's funny how offensively bad some car designs are at first. Then you get used to it... or another design comes out that is more ugly and you forget about the first one.

I remember when the civics came out with the eighth gen (2006) and I had a similar response. They were too "futuristic" or different for their time if you want to call it that.

Actually I think the Avantime is a really cool car (pretty rare, but I've driven one once), but the Vel Satis is butt ugly.

Some other ugly cars most people won't know (I'll spare the SsangYoung ones, those are all pretty ugly):
Hyundai matrix: some designer thought a smaller upper cabin on a bigger lower cabin with a transitional panel inbetween was a good idea:


Mazda Demio: totally uninspiring design


Daihatsu Move: twice as high as it is narrow:


Lancia Thesis: what happened here lancia made some incredibly beautiful cars back in the day and suddenly this....


Nissan Micra. Both the normal one and the convertable...nothing can be saved here



Mazda 121 (crazy wheel design: bears, koalas and other stuff, I think all made by famous wheel manufacturer Ronal):


Citroen Ami is also a pretty aquired taste (although these are rising in value):

Toyota Yaris Verso: you see them here everywhere. Old people buy them:

I can't explain it, but I loved that Hot Wheels as a kid. There's a guy a few blocks from me with a real one, and I feel a little embarrassment each time I see it, knowing that I used to think it looked great.
