Bmw brand in general
Overall Bmw does offer a dynamic driving experience no matter which model you get.The performance you get for the price is very good with Bmw . I have found that even the service loaners being modestly equipped have me looking at the window sticker saying this is a lot of car for this price point. It can change if its loaded. I have owned Msport packages and I also own a 435 Msport with the 19's. I love the look and the feel of it.The M4 just dials it up.Most non enthusiats think a 428 and a M4 just different packages ,but our purchases are what we enjoy.Car guys like us may laugh at the posers who put badges to emulate a M3,M4,M5,M6,and soon M2 because we are really into performance. We buy these cars for the whole package ,how else could we justify the paying the difference. In the end I like the way you can can choose m sport line or m performance parts ,tune,interior/exterior to make your car exactly the way you want it.I think this makes BMW able to satisfy the masses and even the ones in between choices>

OT but we got an M-Sport pkg only because that was the only way to get the seat material choice we wanted. Nothing else in the pkg was of interest. The vehicle came with zero exterior M badging. Like the one photo the rear license plate has the M on it. Though OEM after two years the damn paint has already flaked off in several places.

That's not a 1M rear bumper. Looks more like a 135 with dual exhaust.

I do see some very tasteful upgrades like this one
I like the m5 wheels and even when on a non m vehicle.I see Bmw using the same patten wheels on different models in different sizes .The 650 msport package wheels on the 4 and 5 series are nice too.Does Mercedes have the same enthusiastic followers of amg models as Bmw has for their m models?

There's a guy locally that has a newer 4 series, some M performance parts, and has completely removed his 435i(or whatever) badge and replaced it with the M4 badge... It's the M4 badge that kills me... You have a nice car but for some reason you think you need to lie to the world.
Everytime I've come across him or seen him in my M4 he takes off in an instant as if he's been caught red handed I can't wait to roll up next to him at a stop light one day. |

I think the guy just preferred the m-sport front bumper. Why do you think he's pretending to be a 435?
