Turnip green salad and pide!

Tonight we're having filet mignon, red potatoes roasted in duck fat, and fresh green beans. We'll have a Caesar salad if there's any room left.
The beverage is a 2018 Alexander Valley Silver Oak Cab. That's a splurge due to the beef having come from Bolander Farm in Russellville, Ohio.

You are correct. Hard-shell tacos are not considered traditional or authentic Mexican tacos. They are an Americanized version of the dish that developed in the United States. The earliest references to hard-shell tacos are from the early 1890s, and by the early 20th century this style of taco was available in Mexican-American communities across the US.
So when I said I was having a Mexican Night, I should have correctly said that I was having a Mexican-American night. Olé. |
