I don't understand why you would be so suprised that he text'd you for a date...I mean, he did remember your name and text'd you for the hook up in the begining, right? If that is not a red flag...I dunno what is.

In anycase, having some sort of hook ups are awesome, even if it gets annoying from time to time! Enjoy the phone
