So by the looks of it all paranormal activity can be explained by sleep-states, or when one is concious, bad perception and understanding of things like wind and ageing construction materials?

I mean, anyone here SEEN a demon while awake?
Hrmm, well fish dying in the tank in one night, twice, is not explained by that. And I forgot to mention but, one night my buddy was playing basketball in his backyard court. He decides to head in the house and 5 minutes later a car ram through his back fence and right onto his basketball court. Close call there, and very bad luck (or good luck, I should say).

As for seeing things while awake, my girlfriend has told me stories from when she was in High school. She attended this private high school that's about 90 years old. One night she's running around the track while her friends are playing sports on the field; she has her mp3 on and is jogging around when suddenly she hears a man yell in her ear "Why are you running?". She said it didn't sound friendly. Then another night, she was scheduled for a meeting with other classmates in one of the basement rooms of the school at night. The room is set up such that half is underground, and half is above ground with window panes to allow light in. She walks in the room and see's a shadowy figure stare back at her through the other side of the glass on the outside. She ended up telling her classmates about it and this other girl comes up with her experience too.

She went to a private all-girl's school, and from the main school building to the dorm houses there is a stretch of hallway with a door to open into it. Her classmate is walking back to the dorm in the afternoon (still bright out), opens the glass door and closes it behind her. She's walking down the hall and then hears the door open behind her, so she turns to look back. And what she see's is a shadowy figure open the door and then close it, and walk towards her. So she booked it down the hall.

A lot of other girls have seen the same shadowy figure around the school, and all say that it's a man. However, the shadow isn't in the form of a person, it's sort of just "there". I always ask her "how do you know it's a man though?" and she says because it's presence felt like one. She said if I was there, I'd know it was a man. For whatever reason.

However, there was also one night where my girlfriend was asleep in her dorm and she woke up in the middle of the night in bed. What she see's is the chair from the desk pulled out, with the shadowy man figure sitting on it watching her sleep. She freaked out and hid under the covers, too scared to move. Eventually woke up the next morning, but she said that was pretty scary.

I never used to be a believer in this stuff, and I'm not still. But sometimes I wonder what's going on. I believe in good spirits, say past loved ones somehow attributing good karma to one's life. But not so much in malicious entities. Still freaks me out though...

Fish dying in the tank is much more readily explained by pH, ammonia levels, temperature, etc. Anyone who has kept a fish tank knows how difficult it is to keep the water at the correct nature for the fish. If it isn't you get a fish kill- they all die within hours of each other.

This reminds me of my 'encounter'.
My sister and I went on a late night drive together just to get out from our parent's house (back when I was living with them). We were out in a dark, un-lit stretch of a road (out in the country). This was late at night, probably 12:30'ish. As we are driving up, we see something white on the side of the road, continue to drive up then see this pale, blonde girl dressed in a white gown walking on the side of the road...we were so scared that I just floored it.

Well since everyone's doing it...

For the second clip, make sure to watch the clip from 4:00 minutes, and his breathe becoming visible at 4:45 because the temperature of the room dropped suddenly.

I'll be the first to be skeptical on ghost claims as I'm a very analytic person. I won't believe it unless I see proof.

However, from the time I as 2 until 6 years old, my family lived in a house in which the previous owner killed himself in the garage via leaving the car on. I would hear different stories from my parents and sister about rather odd stuff happening such as hearing the back door open and close.

I don't remember it, but my mom told me when I was 2 or 3, I locked in myself in the bathroom despite being too short to reach the door knob. She had to instruct me to grab something to stand on and unlock the door. One thing I'll never forget was being the first to wake up on Christmas day hearing footsteps downstairs in the living room. Thinking it was Santa, I rushed down the stairs to find no one. I went back up stairs to check my parents' room, and they were both still sleeping. I was always terrified when my dad would make me go into the basement to fill his glass with beer from the kegerator he had down there, but what kid wouldn't let their imagination get the best of them? Memmmories.

Garage List
Our old house was haunted.
The first owner built it himself and we believe his ghost haunted it. He was a nice spirit.
I recall many nights turning off all the lights at home before my brother would come home and then the next morning he'd thank my mom for leaving them on even though she was sleeping way before I went to bed.
Whenever we would do renovations to the house (non-mandatory), we'd hear angry footsteps on the roof, or find broken plates.
I always used to hear sounds in the basement coming from where we think his body is buried.
When we sold the house, the new owner asked us (he was a friend) if there is anything "else" he should know about the house. He felt the presence too and reported the lights thing.

Also, I've seen a headless shadowy figure walking in broad daylight. And I can attest you can feel their gender. It was a male.

10 murders, wow, I'd avoid that house for fear of being killed in it, not because of ghosts.
