What did you do with the fake vents on your F80?

An auto is perfect for daily driving but for the full backroad driving experience, you can't beat three pedals and a gearstick. I considered an auto 135i purely because manuals were so rare, but I knew deep down that I would regret it sooner or later. It's a bugger in stop-start traffic, but that was a compromise I was prepared to make. Don't get me wrong, I'm not anti-auto, just pro-manual.

I got to see it up and close at a cars & coffee in Orange County. Smells like a BMW inside lol.
I don't put any value into Youtube car "reviews" since they never say anything negative. Car & Driver, Motortrend, Road & Track, etc. are still the best reviews. They aren't a bunch of chumps just excited a company lent them a car for a day.

I also don't get the complaint on the ZF vs DCT. The ZF shifts just as quickly, so who cares what type of auto it is? I don't care if it's literal hamsters pulling strings, I care about the end result. |

1. I completely agree with your opinion on the Supra styling. They went too far with faking the funk. 2. The Supra does look better in person. I'm just not sure this point overcomes the first one for me.

I haven't driven the Supra, but I have driven ZFs and DCT. My 340i vs 135i extensively and shorter drives in Ms. Wouldn't be surprised if the shift speeds are the same, but the dct did feel like a more aggressive shift. It might all be in my mind, but I miss the dct.

People will attempt the same with the C8. In one year, there will be plenty of Supras and C8s to buy at MSRP or less. I'm eyeballing that white 1997 NSX-T on BAT right now. Now THAT is a true sports car

Kind of interesting that they're going back to a air to air intercooler.
