I know its kind of "unfair" to Hamilton....

but guess what.....Alonso will be whining again.....saying Hamilton gets the world champ with everyone else helping him...even the FIA....damn...Spanial sounds like he's fighting the whole world by himself!!!

When Hamilton won the World Champion fair and square....that'll shut the spainard up!!!

Raikkonen has consistency on his side.

Yep! That's why he deserves the Champion!!!
(even its not the best result I want....but I did admire his effort throughout the season!!!)

When Kimi lost...he didn't whine and blame on watsoever....just his luck....that just makes him puts more effort on next race!!! He's always a great driver....cool and consistant...even in pressure!!! Truely "Iceman"....

But McLaren might appael it!!! They are really desprate to knik the champion from Kimi!!!

"However, McLaren are expected to appeal the stewards' decision, which if overturned could have serious implications for the 2007 drivers' championship."

i think you will find HAMILTON was consistent

if it was for the stupid points scoring system lewis would have been further behind on points

the system should be the old 10-6-4-3-2-1 which gives the race victor a good points advantage

lewis only won three races, kimi won 6

kimi had 7 Fastest laps, lewis only 2, the facts prove it all

its only due to the points being 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 it helped lewis who was lways scoring on the podium

Didn't really like the new scoring system.
Doesn't it makes the 1st winner less special that first and second is only 2 pts different??? And getting a point or two is as easy as you just have to finish top 8....makes the points less unique and special for top 6 drivers.

But...it does help drivers like Sato to score a point or two and make a bit more "$$$" on year end....

anyway it doesnt matter, theres no way hamilton will finish 8th short of retiring

the only real threat is alonso getting first and hamilton finishing 3rd or later (or if the above is true then 4th or later)

all other possibilities are very improbable (posibilities as in ways hamilton could lose) the worst hamilton should finish is 4th, so the only probably way he should lose is alonso 1st and him 4th

if raikonen is first (which there is a good chance of), its pretty much game over and hamilton gets the title

I don't think the OP had watched too many F1 seasons. With so many external variables that comes into play, the drivers are only one screw up away from DNF.

yes your right, it doesnt give the true victor any major advantage and thats wrong..(in theory a guy could come 2nd and 3rd every race and get his ass whooped and still be world champion if a guy wins 10 and does not finish the rest, that is just WRONG) really Raikkonen is worthy winner having won the most races by far

HECK!!!
The next thing we'll see FIA changed the scoring....
1st 10 pts
2nd 9 pts
3rd 8 pts
4th 7 pts
5th 6 pts
6th 5 pts
7th 4 pts
8th 3 pts
9th 2 pts
10th 1 pt

Ya...that sure will make the final race "more exciting".....and we'll see Super Aguri Honda or a Spiker Ferrari going for championship!

What we need in Formula 1 are more characters like Prost, Senna, Mansell, Hill, Schumi, Mika, Kimi, Alonso, Hamilton, Stewart....etc etc.....

NOT more points spread like charity to most drivers!!!

Now reading this...http://www.formula1.com/news/features/2007/10/7029.html....
If Hamilton won this instead of Alonso because of "team order"....Hamilton will be 111 pts and Alonso will be 107.....

It is still better and simpler than NASCAR system for which one needs an advanced degree in mathematics.

I gave up on NASCAR!
Regulations are too complicated, race is too boring...
