There really is no way to be soft about something like that. Easy for a girl to be sensitive about it. He either just mentions it in slight and balls up, or he never says anything because he doesn't want to hurt her feelings, but continues to avoid her where she then picks up that something is wrong and ends up drilling it out of him, where he will in turn look like a dick because he never said anything sooner, they break up and everyone dies.

Something like that sounds more like a yeast/bacterial infection than bad hygiene. Douching tends to make those things worse - they have probiotics and/or stronger stuff for that, although if you've just met her it's a bit tough to broach the subject.

I would have handled that much differently now than i did then.

Now i would be up front with her and tell her we are going to tackle the problem together. Make it fun to clean everything up. Same thing if she had a huge bush. I'd have taken the time to trim/shave that up myself and by the end she's be so friggin hot it'd be awesome sex.

Honestly, if you really like her, it's better you mention it now *gently*. You don't have to be brash like "Yo, yer shit stanks", but if you don't get it out of the way now, it's not going to help if you want to continue.

Now you've opened the discussion in a non confrontational way, and if she has a completely negative reaction or doesn't want to accept it, then just cut your loses. People need to be open to criticism or honest about situations, otherwise life is going to be very difficult.
