Getting the thumb far enough into the sprocket in one fast move is really the key here, that and taking enough 'meds' beforehand that you don't pull back at the last minute.

Gotta love a self-inflicted amputation; at least it wasn't his kid's finger. Also just a little suspicious for a photoshop job, with such a nice clean tear - usually you'd pull a nice piece of skin and some tendons along with it (my wishful thinking acting up again?).

Would have to be in gear and on lift also. You guys are being silly. Maybe he was doing s one handed burnout standing next to the bike so he could oil the chain.

Thats the part that escapes me - have been riding for 35+ years and cannot imagine what the heck someone was doing with their bare feet near a a bike chain - passenger maybe and wearing flip-flops or something? - again, bizarre!
