I like sports cars too. X3M was no more sports car than X5 M50i, which is no more sports car than a Durango hellcat. Don't get me wrong, I liked X3M, it was my #3 pick. But the only SUV that drives like a fun sports car is the Stelvio (Admittedly, I did not drove a Levante or Grecale, but I suspect they aren't fun like Stelvio). The rest drive like perfectly capable, but also serious vehicles. They all are designed more with every day practicality in mind than making every drive fun. Trust me, drive a Stelvio, you'll see what I mean. It drives like a go kart, with insanely fast steering, it loves to rev, and it makes every drive an event like a good sports car does. |

I have not driven a Stelvio and don’t plan to given that so tend to keep cars a long time and parts and servicing for Alfas is limited in my area. I like BMWs, but when I was SUV shopping several years ago, I thought the X5 drove like a truck. Bought a 21 Cayenne S instead because it handled much better. It was for my wife — I would buy a Cayenne Turbo for myself and make sure it has some of the handling options. There is a GTS model with many of the handling options, but less power than the turbo and I like power.
