I've never seen an individual color move up in the production week. It is always a delay, in my experience

There are no notifications for status changes, so you will need to log in to check. Also, it is possible to progress through several stages in a single day.

Are the days of sub 2% financing over? This is kind of making me pause on ordering one. My credit score is over 800 and my current APR is 1.9% on my 2021 X5M (paid off in April). Trying to get a similar deal.

Those days are LONG gone unfortunately. When you financed your X5M the Fed Funds rate (what banks pay the fed reserve to borrow money) was less than 0.1% most likely. So, a bank could borrow at practically nothing and then loan that money to you at a higher rate. In November of 2024, that rate is about 4.6%, so BMW Financial is charging 5.29% to still be profitable on these loans.

Now that rate is starting to trend downward, but without the manufacturer subsidizing the rates, I doubt we will ever see sub 2.0% rates again.

X7's have 1.99% now, it would be rare to see that on a true M model like the M5, but if it doesn't sell, look for large rebates late next year, like the XM has now

My Touring has been stuck on "Order Received" for a couple weeks now, but the salesman said January production date. Not sure I put much stock in that until I see it on the BMW My Garage, but fingers crossed.

I started there, but when I went in to ask, they started off with a ridiculous markup on the car. I left and called several other dealerships within a 3hr drive, and ended up ordering from a dealership in Hunstville.

Hard to believe there's a markup on this car. The feedback I'm getting about this car is nobody really wants one other than a few hyped up people I've seen here. It's slower than the previous M5, and handles like a waterbed (according to Throttle House). Spend 130 - 140k for a performance car only for some geek who can get a 2024 M3P for under 50k and hand your ass to you? No thanks... Better off to get an M3 Xdrive Comp. for a lot less. You can tune that car to do nines overnight... the new M5 you're stuck with doing low 11's :/ errr maybe 10.9s?

For the Sedan, for sure. For the Touring there are not many comparables.

I want a fast, comfy daily driver wagon that plugs-in. That leaves the new M5 or a Panamera Sport Turismo Turbo S e-Hybrid. The Porsche is much smaller in the rear. I am not sure my Newfoundland would fit back there.

lol throttlehouse, those guys are just clickbaiting BS nowadays chasing high view counts. Every single other reviewer says it handles really well and you don't particularly notice the weight except under moderate/hard braking and super tight chicane style turn combos.

Loaded M3 have you paying like 115k for a 3 series, I'll pay a bit more and get the 5 with the monster low-down torque for street driving, and I say that as a s58 owner... it's a great engine but I miss grunty low rpm torque on the street.

I am in Huntsville, and did the same thing (branching out, but 5 hour radius) when they told me their one allocation was spoken for. Glad you got it! I would love to come see you and yours when it comes in!
