I went to Netherlands once. People there are like 6'3" average!
I Thought one of flight attendant was shorter than me by looking at her. When I stood up, I was about 3" shorter.

Avg height for male in US is 5'9
At least we can get into a fast racecars easily and have a good center-of-gravity.
