Considering the 3.0 as a track car to replace my M3 CS. Anyone here have track experience with one? I don't care about the looks, I think it looks decent, I care about how it drives. I want a manual but I heard the ZF is actually decent. Thoughts?

My only concern is the weight. The M2 will definitely get heavier. If it stays under 3700 I think it will be a winner. Otherwise the Supra is already lighter than the current M2.

Wow, what a shitty thing to do.

Dude looked like he was about to cry the whole time and find a way to wreck into the shop with a semi so he could be like, “well, that was an accident and accidents happen.”

I would trade my F80 tomorrow if they make a targa top version of the MKV supra. Hell, if they paint it a similar color to Royal Sapphire Pearl from the MKIV's i'd probably do it too. I think Velvet Blue is probably the most similar in the BMW palette

Is it? Guy can't pay tax on a $50k car. Really? I know he owns a lot of cars. But we aren't talking about 1mill dollar cars. I sort of understand when someone is rolling around with Montana plates on a Veyron. States are wising up to this loophole, can lead to a full audit if caught.

I always wonder do these people lie to the insurance company. Do they honestly say that the car is in Florida and is only driven Florida, but has Montana plates...or do they lie to them too.

If Montana wants to attract business (and residents) to its state by not having a sales tax on their cars, then that is their right. It costs $70 to file for an LLC in Montana. A small portion of those who start a business in Montana are using it as a tool to not pay tax on the car. The Secretary of State of Montana is well aware of these techniques and they probably feel that what they gain overall from this incentive is well worth the side effects of these LLCs started just to acquire cars. Don't forget, those cars still have to be registered in Montana, so they are generating income from registrations. Also, the dealers and brokers selling cars in Montana still profit from those sales which stimulate their economy. That is all income they would normally not have if they didn't have this tax incentive... all for the price of giving out articles of incorporation and keeping a file. Whether or not the LLCs actually do business in the state of Montana, they still benefit from them.

It's not about Montana, it's about lying about your actual place of residence or business to cheat your home state out of sales tax.

hahah who cares... Fuck CA and their ridiculous taxes, $800 franchise tax per year just to have an LLC, not including all other taxes you have to pay for your business that have nothing to do with the business. They make enough on "taxes" and they can't even properly use/allocate them.

Good attitude, pro tax evasion. Don't like the taxes? Don't live there. You have a choice and you can reside in Montana or some other lower tax state. If you don't like it, you should move instead of cheating on taxes.

You don't lie because you don't have to be a resident or even be in the state. You just have to file for an LLC and have a registered agent in the state of Montana. Again, Montana gains financially from that as described in my post. Yes, another state loses out on sales tax, but that's the "free market". Montana won their business with an incentive, and it's financially viable. Other states can do the same and benefit similarly, but they feel that taxing car sales generates more income for them. That's capitalism, it's not cheating.
