It seems a lot of drivers are no fan of sprint races. Even Max doesn't like the system, and he's by far the most succesful sprint race driver.

I think the first system where it was mainly an alternate qualifying system with only limited points (max 3) was the best. With only limited points, racing will also be less on edge, and say a crash between Max and RUS might not have happened. I mean RUS also could've easily trashed his front suspension or wing in that maneuvre, leaving him out of qualifying. But now serious points were at stake, something valuable to him as he knows getting points in a longer race session might be more difficult at Baku (where the AMR's might get the edge on him).

But I'm still lost in words ...

RUS didn't got a penalty for :

1-Running into MAX and pushed him against the wall by 2 dive bombs !
MAX found his his car back with a huge gaping hole , this made his car 0.75 sec./lap slower

2-For his dangerous driving in the pitlane .

IMHO. I wouldn't call it incidents , these are safety violations !

MAX didn't get that , because he went in just before the SC came out .

Extremely good luck for Checo and too easy for him, he'll be drinking his Jalisco to celebrate and to top it tr Russel stole the FL from Max also but no matter, it's Miami next week, a favourite track for Max notwithstanding the recent flooding.

I was really surprised too. It was obvious he was going too fast. I laughed when they said stewards said no further investigation.
