While lots of classic Ferraris now sport Borrani wire wheels, many were originally sold with alloy wheels and have been converted. Wire wheels require some adjustment and maintenance, whereas alloy wheels are generally trouble-free. In either case, the 1960s Ferraris used knockoffs rather than wheel bolts or studs.

I saw a pretty cool Volvo Wagon the other day and thought I’d share. Looks like a Volvo 1800ES to me.

1963 ISO Grifo A3/L prototype. This car was a collaboration between Bertone and Bizzarrini and was followed by 402 production examples delivered between 1964 and 1974.
The Grifo was powered by a Chevrolet 327 V-8.

The French company Facel Vega started as a maker of auto body components, but in the 1950s designed its own automobiles.
The Excellence was built from 1958 to 1964 when the company went defunct. The car was a pillarless four-door sedan with typical styling cues of the period: tail fins, etc. It was powered by various Chrysler V-8 engines. The two cars pictured are a 1958 FVS and a 1961 FV.

Decades of Ferrari two-door 2+2 models -- frequently the bread and butter of the company -- came to a close in 2020. The final 2+2 body style was the GTC4Lusso, which was powered by a 6.3-liter naturally aspirated V-12 engine that produced 681 hp at 8000 rpm (oh, the sound!) and 514 ft-lbs at 5750 rpm. The power was transmitted via 7-speed dual clutch transmission to all four wheels. The U.S. EPA rated the big V-12 car at 12 city and 17 highway and imposed a gas guzzler tax.
Ferrari, like all the other manufacturers, was looking for better efficiency and a year after introduction of the GTC4Lusso introduced the turbo V-8 GTC4Lusso T. The T had a 3.9-liter V-8 and gave 610 hp at 7500 rpm and 560 ft-lbs at 3000 rpm. It also omitted the AWD system. It was no threat to the Prius, though, with EPA ratings of 15 city and 21 highway, but at least the tax was less. I'm not aware of any way to differentiate the two externally. Here are three photos of the V-12 car and one of a silver V-8. The postscript is that Ferrari finally threw in the towel and introduced an SUV -- the Purosangue -- in 2023. I've featured that vehicle before.

The 1970 Lamborghini Miura P400S was the car that put Lamborghini on the map. Mid-engine 4-liter V-12 and dramatic styling. Enzo probably ended up secretly wishing he had treated Lamborghini better.

Speaking of Enzo Ferrari, here is an early one: A 1950 166MM Barchetta by Touring. I'm sure it would be horrible to drive by 2024 standards, but one could always just park it in the living room.
