A month before Guardians of the Galaxy came out, Marvel Unlimited had a special for $0.99 USD, so I've done my homework (Guardians, Civil War, Infinity). I just can't see how they will pull off Civil War without enough characters in the cinematic universe, and without Spiderman, it just wouldn't work.

These are just title characters. I read recently that dozens upon dozens of marvel characters will be in the upcoming movies. Cameos, references, supporting roles, etc. I am sure that by the time we get to an Infiniti War 2-part movie, that there will have been introduced TONS of heroes and plenty for the story arc to work.

Well, Age of Ultron would lead into Civil War, but not having Spider-Man in Civil War is like not having Morpheus in The Matrix, then it's only Neo and Mr.Smith, and it just wouldn't make sense, like Chewbacca living in the planet of Ewok, just doesn't make sense.

We'll see what happens; I'm sure there will be plenty more press releases from Marvel in the coming months and even in subsequent years. I know there's a big thing with Spiderman and Silver Surfer teaming up to battle Thanos.....there's a lot that needs to happen - I agree - for it to work. I don't think Marvel is stupid enough to do it half-assed though.
