Not a pilot, but I do have a degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics.
Lovely 'plane RBBMWE46M3 and great to see one still with a cowling and not converted to a dirty great P&W engine. How much of it's history do you know?

I'm a pilot. Did the civilian thing for a while--commercial pilot, flight instructor, corporate/charter, then airline until 9/11. Now I'm an Air Force instructor. Flown T-6A, T-38C, T-37. The T-38C (picture) is my favorite. Gonna fly F-15s or F-16s next. Indiana, huh? If you're offering rides, I could fly up to Indiana.

I guess it depends on where you live in Indiana. In the North West part where I live it really is not too bad. We really are just another suburb of Chicago ( where I work and my business is located) The property taxes in Indiana are a whole lot less than in Illinois. I own a 12,000 sq ft home and my property taxes are only 9000. The same house in lets say Oakbrook Illinois would be probably three times that of mine. I don't live in a city. So I guess to answer your question...not bad

Belive it or not...i used to when Meggs field was still being used. It was an airport right on the lakefront pretty much in the loop of Chicago (downtown) Then the mayor (Daily) bulldozed it into the ground without telling anyone. ( ass hole)

I've never seen a P&W converted Stearman over here with a cowling RBBMWE46M3, looks so much better. There are some great modern designs around, but there's something special about a big radial. How we normally see the Stearman locally.....
