Seriously though, my cousin moved to Florida a few years back and came back a shell of his former self. Heavily addicted to prescription meds and his whole life now revolves around doctors and pharmacies. It's sad. Definitely NOT saying that is the norm but from my small sample size, it's a poor showing for Florida (and entirely his own fault).

I was sick of shoveling snow so I moved here about 5 years ago and happen to LOVE it but I'm on the gulf side away from all the "crazies" on the east coast.
