2-3 on a normal good night, if a kid has been sick recently I only manage to nap for weeks.

I use to sleep 4hrs per day during my 20s. Having 12hr/day career PLUS working 5hr/day at airport really gave me no choice at that time. If I can function normally by sleeping 3hr/day, I would do it. I wish I can.

I understand people can sleep when they're dead but lack of sleep can take years off a life, however there are exceptions to the rule. |

It truly isn't an issue for me, until a kid is sick here. Our older boy was born with microtia and that can come with a lot of nasty friends. When ever someone in my house even has a cold my body goes nuts and if I am lucky I sleep an hour straight because I have nightmares about his first year. While pregnant the same but then I only sleep while old top gear episodes are playing on my laptop. Power goes off, I'm up in seconds. With those on, I can easily manage a whole season of sleep.

Every night is different. I work different hours every day and sometimes it's 12-14 hour days.
I make sure to get into bed by 11-11:30 during the week fall asleep by midnight am up by 6-7am most weekdays. I almost never sleep through the night. Take an Ambien sometimes to sleep good but it makes me feel groggy all the next morning. I would say I sleep for a good 2-3 straight wake up toss and turn for an hour or two and then sleep for another 2-3 hours if I'm lucky. |

Maybe he is suffering on an sleep disorder, that just came out of nowhere, doctors can't help and he is trying this way, to get answers for his quenched body and soul...
Dude, you could even suffer on an after shave allergy! I had that a year ago...it was that bad, that late at night I woke up, bathed in my own sweat, couldn't get enough breath it gelt like someone is choking me. After I stopped using an certain aftershave my condition normalized, thank god. Or as I mentioned earlier, if you have any problem with your raspiratory system, that might also give you hard night's. If that was your reason for your poll, get checked by a doctor soon. If not at least everybody on here is aware what kind of B.S. can come over your life, from one second to another. |
