E39 5 series manual or E46 3 series manual?

I currently have few M cars (2013 f10 m5 MCB, 2015 f80 AY, 2015 f86 x6m AW). They are very fast and fun to drive, but I miss my 1990 e30 MT. My wife insist that I get rid of my itch and get an e30. Unfortunately, I Just can't seem to find a good e30. Therefore decided to widen my search to e39 or e46, manual of course. Which one would be better?
Even better would be, if someone wants to sell me their e30 PM me. It must be a manual transmission.

E46 M3 and E39 M5 are very different cars. I had a 1998 E39 540i and a 2006 E46 M3 6MT and really loved the M3. Had it for 8 years and enjoyed it very much - much more enjoyable than the 540i.

Seriously... $250,000 for a Z8.

If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

Yeah. But there are far better cars to buy for $250K - $300K.

Agreed. I see you have a Z4. Trade it in for a Z8!

Does the term "over my dead body" mean anything to you?

Plus I'd get a Ford GT (circa 2006-07) for that kind of money.
