Mattress Company using 9-11 as sales ploy

Curious to hear everyone's thoughts on this. I personally think its tasteless especially replicated the screaming at the end.

Pretty bad advertising idea, it lacks any kind of common sense. On the flip side, some people are so dam sensitive these days. Flip the channel and move on with your life. Stop crying to mommy about how "offensive" it is. There are bigger problems in the world and in your life! Or maybe your life is going so well all you have to complain about is a damn commercial! Kids these days i tell ya.

I am not easily offended by much... but this is completely tasteless and makes me want to knock that lady over...

Imagine if you lost your father/mother/brother/sister/wife/husband, etc in this tragedy and you see this commercial....

im sure if you had a lost relative or friend that day it would be a different response.

That's by far the most disgusting, insulting, cold hearted commercial I have ever seen! 9-11 was the darkest day in my career as an FDNY firefighter. Being inside tower 1 as it collapsed was the most horrific and unbelievable sight I have ever experienced.

I had been in some very busy units during my rookie days in the fire department. I broke in, in Engine 46 and Ladder 27 in the South Bronx when the South Bronx was burning down. I was in Rescue 3, which was extremely busy, they covered the Bronx and Harlem. And then as a lieutenant, I was in the Lower East Side (Engine 55)when the towers were burning down.

What I saw pales in comparison to anything you can imagine...those 3 assholes and everyone else involved in that commercial should be ashamed of themselves...There's 343 reasons why that is wrong!!!

Wow man, i just got the chills when you said you were in tower 1 when it collapsed. I'm sure everyone on this forum would agree that you were a true hero that day.

Glad you made it out to tell the story, and i'm sorry about all those that you (presumably) lost that day.

Mattress salesfolk are pretty low. When I stepped up and was ready to buy a Serta, I got cold feet and was leaving the showroom. Then the dude said I can give you the police and fire discount. I said but I'm not a cop or fireman. He said no worries we'll give it to you if you buy it today. I was a bit leery, so I said let me think about it. He said fine but we won't give you this price when you come back. When I came back, I got a different person, he gave me another 10% off and the police and fire discount.

The commercial is certainly done in poor taste. Whether or not you or someone you knew were affected directly by the events of 9/11.
I am pretty sure the cast involved as well as the store itself will feel the wrath of Social and National Media and they will have to apologize.

You dont have to have lost a loved one to feel the pain from 9-11. Just the sheer fact that our american brothers and sisters lost lives, our country was attacked, and it essentially started a world war....
