I got offered an allocation for a 2018 GT2 RS. My dealer has only one allocation, and no one seems to be interested.

Before I make my decision to take it, are there any other upcoming track cars other than the GT2?

Note also that if I'm going to buy such a car that is limited, it is just to flip it. No judging please.

You know you can't lose with any Porsche GT car. The deposit is nothing, just hold your spot first.

There seems to be only 50 units worldwide. Put your name on it ASAP and thank me after you actually get it.

You have to buy it. My friend gets all the high end, hard to get supercars, drives them around the block, then sells for profit. Strange world we live in.

Leave it for an enthusiast who actually wants the car for what it is.

Do they even exist? I would imagine the buyers of these cars fall in the following categories:

1. Stores cars in garage for show.
2. Flip for profit.

I have yet to read anything on a buyer who actually uses limited edition cars as cars, by that I mean use it like any one would a daily driver.

If they made the car for enthusiasts they would make many more copies. These cars are made to keep the Porsche reputation high.

I don't even feel like GT2s are track focused cars, unless this one is AWD. They are so overpowered for a RWD car that they are really only good for ripping down the highway and showing off. The GT3/GT3 RS are the real Porsche track cars.

I would say the Cayman GT4 is, well was, the most honest enthusiast track car Porsche has built in a while.

If you really got offered an allocation you should know that you take it and you figure out how to buy the car. If all else fails you can make a handsome profit.

Was this really an attempt to get advice on which track car to get or just bragging about getting an allocation for a car nobody can obtain? Anyone who can get their hands on a GT2 RS should know what track toy cars are out there.

OP is from Saudi Arabia. Surely, nobody there is interested in buying a GT2RS. Way to suck OP.

Of course there are. A Chiron, any of the single digit run Lamborghinis and the upcoming three seat McLaren will all net a lot more profit along with much higher cash outlays.

Few cars are as limited production as the McLaren F1. People used to give Rowan Atkinson a super hard time for crashing his... twice... but he actually put over 40,000 miles on the car since purchasing it new. He sold it last year for $12M.
