WWII bomb found in a construction area near BMW's HQ in Munich...
past(found) WWII bombs... Munich, Germany Tuesday, December 6th, 2016 On the evening of Tuesday at ~22:00 some construction workers unearthed a WWII bomb near BMW's FIZ(research and development) area. Near the intersection of Moosacher Straße and Schleißheimer Straße in München. BMW is currently expanding its R&D offices to be finished by ~2022. Over two thousand people living in this area where evacuated - while the bomb squad was called in to deactivate the bomb. The fire dept was called in at ~22:00. The bomb squad arrived on scene by ~23:00 and at ~01:00 (early)Wednesday morning the bomb was defused and ready for transport. The all clear was giving and people were allowed to return to their homes. It is quite a common occurrence that WWII bombs are found and defused in Germany. Usually happens once per month. source: http://www.antenne.de/nachrichten/ba...ngen-verlassen
