Man, that's amazing. The last clip is the perfect clip to show your average driver what a real race driver can do, holy crap!

Is that an F50 at 1:25-1:30? Actually never mind, it's probably a Supra Turbo.
Some of those GT-Rs are silly fast.

Videos that support reckless driving are lame af. When you or one of your family members are ripped in half we'll see if you up this thread.
I'M KIDDING! haha I don't really care if your fam gets torn up - I just felt like being a Debbie Downer because Monday.

Drag strips/track days/autoX/SCCA FTW. Every day of the week. Particularly on Thursday and Friday evenings and Sundays.

The vast majority of people who street race and spectate at rallies don't have serious incidents let alone kill themselves. Risky activities are pretty hard to beat. Try going to the motocross track or flying an ultralight aircraft and tell me that's not what life's all about. Well, you probably would tell me that, and in my opinion you're just not living.

Thing is, there's a difference between consciously risking your own life and risking the lives of others around you who haven't consciously made that same choice. That's the difference here. I've seen people die, in person, because of the latter. That's why this is stupid -- and part of the reason it's illegal.

Don't get me wrong, it would be IDEAL if nobody got hurt street racing but there are so many bigger problems and unneeded death and suffering is such a widespread and unresolved issue that it's really hard to see some very rare collateral damage as an issue when the upside is millions of people indulging their passion, opening doors to possible future constructive activities like car related careers or projects, and having a good time. |
