Smart Nora
Went out for drinks with an old coworker tonight and he told about this. Said it helped him sleep really well. Anyone tried this yet and does it really work?

If you snore so bad that it keeps you from sleeping then you probably have sleep apnea. In that cases a CPAP will help you guaranteed and probably covered by your insurance.

I have sleep apnea and honestly I didn't even think I had any issues sleeping (other than snoring). I never really felt sleepy during the day or anything. Anyways I did the sleep study and found I had sleep apnea and got my CPAP. Now if I don't use my CPAP I totally feel like crap the next day. Almost like I was so use to not sleeping that I was numb to the feeling.
You should probably get it checked out. |

My snoring has gotten bad lately, but I doubt this would help. I sleep on my side, not my back, so I don't think adjusting the height of the pillow will make a difference. Plus I flip sides so often during the night and readjust my pillow all the time.
My Dad was a prodigious snorer, so it runs in the family. Wifey pointed me to some throat and tongue exercises that are supposed to tone up the muscles and decrease snoring. Not sure I'm sold on these either. http://www.vancouversun.com/news/wor...376/story.html

The family can now stand to be around my wife without being constantly scared since she got a CPAP

As others have mentioned. A proper sleep study is what you need. Get a referral to a pulmonologist and have this done. They will tell you if you truly have a problem and then they can calibrate your CPAP pressures. M
