Most amazing grilled cheese ever

So I'm sitting here at work, I got a sandwich from our canteen.

wow, grilled cheese on white bread, white and yellow cheese, tomatoes and beef

it is so greasy with a buttery taste, fantastic.

I've had grilled cheese before but this hits the spot, it is missing a touch of Worcestershire sauce though

Sounds to me like you need to Americanize your bread and soak it in melted butter before grilling.

That would be putting cheese curds on it.

Although, if you really want to fuck with your heart, use duck fat instead of butter. Mmmmmmmm........

The secret to good grilled cheese is covering the bread with mayo before slathering with cheese and putting it on the grill.

So i've heard....

Apparently the Mayo has a higher burn temp than butter and allows the bread to get hotter and cheese meltier.

avocado and bacon grilled cheese is popular around here.

I prefer ghee, the clarified butter used in India. It also has a higher burn temp than butter, and it makes every grilled cheese sandwich better.

I have a friend who makes her own ghee by wrapping butter in cheesecloth, then boiling it and (I think) collecting the clarified butter that floats to the top. You'd be amazed at the crap that's left behind... not just fats, but some plastic-like stuff. I started buying only organic butter after seeing that.

I'm too lazy to make my own, so I just buy it on Amazon. You can keep it at room temperature; it doesn't need to be refrigerated.

Ancient Organics Ghee (32 ounce)

Love grilled cheese with tomato and bacon. They are strictly verboten for me now, though.

(As I typed that, my watch alarm went off to remind me to take my BP meds. Getting old sux.)

Grilled cheese for breakfast with warm maple syrup. I cut the sandwich in four strips and dunk in the syrup as finger food. Amazing.

so a few days ago I wanted a ham & cheese,
they the day after it turned into can you throw some sliced toms on it,
then to can you grill it

so this time, I wanted to try a slice/roast beef, instead of the ham

surprisingly it worked

Gourmet Grilled Cheese
