Ordered an 08 Mini Cooper S

Hello!

335 lease ends in December, sister is over her mileage on her X3 so she's going to take my 335 for a few months.

Lightning Blue/White top/White stripes
Premium
Sport
Convenience
Cold weather
Anthracite
Rear Fogs
Xenon
LSD
White turn signals
Carbon Cloth
Brushed Aluminum
6sp manual

I love my 335, and so far from driving and researching the Mini it seems like a blast. I'm the type to get a new car every 1-2 years, have always loved the Mini's since they came out in 02, now it is my turn to try it. Can't wait!!

Great choice!! I love the minis. I was close to buying one a few years back but decided against it as the nearest Mini delaer was 65 miles away. If there was a dealer closer, I would have bought one. They are a blast to drive.

Also, just in time as gas is at $4 a gallon!!

I've gone on the Mini USA site many times, and done many different build combinations. It's amazing how fast the price can add up with all the options they have. I think the 4 or 5 builds that I have saved are all around 35k. That shit adds up fast!

Good luck with the MCS....there are a ton of mods available that I'm sure you'll be checking out!

Great choice...we completely enjoy our MCS. Also, the JCW package is definitely worth it..

my bro just picked up a MC Vert...he loves it, says "How can I ever be upset driving this thing, saves me gas and I catch a tan while doing it" I started laughing and called him a b*tch...

The Cooper S gets a little less gas mileage than the regular Cooper.

For a car so small, the mileage should be higher.

Almost 10MPG difference combined city/hwy driving. For a car so small, te mileage should be higher.
People are averaging 35+ in the MCS, even 40 mpg on road trips..how much do you want? For that kind of performance, the gas mileage is excellent.

+1 on that. When I started building mine..the base for the S was around $22,000...after a few options it was around the $30k easy.

I would love to have one as a DD, but the cost is too high.

Congrats on your car!

Having a bit of 2nd thoughts because I love my 335 so much..

So my buyout at the end of the yr is $33,500 + tax...a lot of people tell me it's not worth it to buy my car off lease? I dunno..I'm the type of if you like it and can afford it, buy it. but is it worth it?

Am i going to be depressed about 1 week after turning my bmw in with my Cooper S?

What are your thoughts?

Never drive a car you are not happy with. It is not worth it and you will end up switching it out before long anyway costing you more money.

Don't by a Mini to save gas. That is what the Prius is for. buy a mini because you want a mini. Buy a bimmer because you want a bimmer.

Gas mileage is overrated. my friend traded his 350z for a prius and has regretted getting the golf cart ever since to save a couple hundred dollars a month. His frickin cable bill is $200 a month.

i've been driving my sisters 08 MCS for the past two days. Im in love. The motor is spunky as hell, very responsive. Handles like a dream, although ride is a bit rough. If I were in the market for a small car this would be my only choice.

I can honestly say I don't miss the 335. My 08 MCS feels so quick because of the size/weight. Of course it is not as quick but it is actually more fun to drive....to me. I can whip through traffic, park any where and I am not complaining about 28.5 mpg in the city with a heavy foot.

Check out www.northamericanmotoring.com for pics/mods etc... There are tons of mods available.
Dips at speed can bring you up off your seat, but it is kind of fun.
Eibach Pro springs went on in less than a week. The stock wheel gap is huge.

Such a high re-sale value is always a + too.

Best of luck in your decision.
