My first attempt @ HDR in NYC
I had to fly out to NYC last week on an emergency business trip. But I was able to fit in one day to myself. Here are some of the results. This is my first attempt. They're each composed from 3 bracketed shots. The software of choice was PhotoMatix.

Eh, not bad but I can't really tell them that much apart from a regular pic. Then again I'm a fan of the over processed CGI/colored pencil HDR look.

Hmm...these aren't as contrasted as typical HDR shots...which is a good thing imo.
However, if you want to get that HDR look, I think you need to widen the difference of exposire between you darkest and brightest shots.

You wouldn't like the blue sky in Australia then, it is actually blue.

You have more settings in Photomatix, so you can make your pictures look
more HDR like. One thing about HDR is that it makes reflections great! Look at my car: |

Now I know why I haven't seen at HDR shot of the Olympics from China, no contrast, no blue sky.

the pics look as if only contrast was added to it. Nice attempt.
