Hey, I saw a white G8 today as well; I thought it was fairly good looking...until I noticed the Pontiac emblem. Anyway, does anyone know how fast these cars run? I think the Pontiac quad tailpipe tip exhaust is a bit of over the top (large dual tips would be better, imho), but from a glance, the aero kit, rear, and overall lines of the car look nice.

Pontiac's advertising campaign for this car aims to steal marketshare from the E60 550i. The dual trapezoidal grilles do mimick the BMW kidneys, and regardless of what people say, the side vents do resemble the new M3 ones. Hell, it even has a Hofmeister-like kink in the rear quarter window.

I sometimes wonder if BMW is upsizing the size of their kidney grilles in upcoming models to distance themselves from the copy-cat likes of Pontiac.

The V6 runs to 0-60 in 7 seconds and 1/4 mile in 15.4 seconds at 92 MPH. the GT does 0-60 in 5.2 seconds and 1/4 mile in 13.8 seconds at 104 MPH.

The GXP( the one pictured) does 0-60 in 4.7 seconds and 1/4 in 13 seconds at 108 MPH(manufacture estimates).

The dual exhaust tells you it is the V6 model whole the quad exhaust tip tells you it is the GT( 6 liter V8) or GXP( 6.2 V8).

Wow...that's faster than a stock 335i! However, with a 6.2L V8, I wonder what kind of gas mileage it gets...probably ~ 14mpg city / 18mpg hwy, imilar to the Chrysler/Dodge SRT-8's.

I read an article on it, it is as fast if not a little bit faster than a stock 335i

No way in hell that even comes close to the M at least in looks IMO!! Plus, as usual, a heavy 6.2 Liter dinosaur engine to make hp, no technological advance whatsoever.

It doesn't resemble an M3 in looks in any way whatsoever, barring the vents.
