Not a problem(don't race them in a BMW though). Some of the CTS-Vs have big balls though.

Neighbors son had one with some sort of cam/header/intake/exhaust package. He'd jump me 1/2 car from a ~50'ish roll and I'd reel him in and pass by 80 or so. Once I'd get into 4th he's fading/gone. From a launch he's toast, no chance.

I'd think you'd probably need a PB/DPs(no cats) and all to stay even. May have a slight torque advantage depending on tune(I'm learning the BMW figures here, sorry). Drivers race maybe.

It's not the new CTS-V, it's the old one. The new one isn't released yet and if it does, I advise you not to race with it. It's rated near 560hp/560lb-ft.

The old one had a 5.7 V8 400hp(LS1). It comes in manual ONLY!

A few nitpicky corrections: 1) When it came out it had the 5.7 LS6 V8( C5 Z06 motor) 2) A year later it switched over to the 6.0 V8 LS2.

The new one is. 558 HP I believe were the official power numbers. Though it is obvious he raced the old 400 HP one.

I doubt it was nitrous, it was a type of kid that would want to give all his car got, also I'm sure a nitrous cts would have beat me by a lot more don't you think?
