Hard to argue with the rarity of these two!

Not a bad feature, but for some reason it feels light and fluffy. Was expecting a bit more diving into the details. just my 2 cents

E86 M Coupe, that thing has no pretensions of being an easy to handle city touring car and the design (much hated in the past) now looks cool and unique.

good spot In the UK, if you put an M Badge on a non M Car, then you are affectionately known by the UK Bimmerpost Forum as an 'M Badge Wanker' Jeez it's bad enough putting one on a BMW that doesn't deserve it, but putting one on a car from a different manufacturer...hells teeth, that's bad. Any car that comes from the factory with an M Badge including M Sport on the wings is exempt. |

I've only owned 4 but my f87 m2 N55 so far is the most fun to drive and sound. Overall I would score them this way
Looks department 1. E46 M3 - best looking m3 in my opinion 2. F80 M3 - so aggressive especially stanced 3. E36 M3 - cool boxy and a sleeper 4. F87 M2 - so chunky and weird but growing on me Driving pleasure 1. F87 M2 - sounds so good and just so much fun to toss around 2. E36 M3 - same here but not as good of driving position with no tilt wheel 3. F80 M3 - such a beast especially tuned, scary fast 4. E46 M3 - intake sound was fun exhaust was meh and hated the seat. Felt to high up and soft around corners Of all the M cars that I haven't owned that I want 1. E30 M3 (driver car only) don't care to collect 2. E92 M3 gts - Best looking and sounding specialty M imo 3. 3.0 CSL - or resto mod would be epic 4. M1 - why not haha

The best M cars for me are the 330Ci ZHP and the M240i.
Blasphemy you say. Neither are actually ///M cars! Well, they are the "M" cars I could actually get my hands on and I love them as much as their bigger bros the E46 M3 and M2C. |

I thought the E46 CSL was the M car to end all M cars.

I've owned 2006 M5, 2015 M3. Now I own 2016 M4 GTS and 2012 M3.
For sound and that grunt. I am going to have to just say the V8 and V10 NA > any of the turbo M cars. This is the reason why I picked up the 2012 M3 2 weeks ago. |
