Dealer Wash

I should have known better but this level of marring from one wash is pretty impressive - brand new car, one service visit and here is what I am correcting prior to going back in for ceramic coating....

I usually do as well, my 330 has been fine with a few washes from them - we got to the bottom of the issue though, turns out if you purchase and the car was never waxed to begin with, it creates this issue....ugh

P-21s coat later, all good and no permanent damage - NBD

Pretty sure I am gonna try Chemical Guys' carbon nano coating soon

Brand new cars gets hand washed at my dealer but when you go in for service they have a separate area where they machine wash the cars. My dash cam shows your typical guys standing there with two broom looking brushes doing everything from your wheels to your hood. Never let them wash the car. Its not worth it.

Reviving an old thread here but thought it might be worth it.

Had an M5 for about 6 years without a single swirl. One wash at the dealer post service and it was a nightmare. Of course the dealer wouldn't accept it. Swore up and down it was hand washed and properly. Even went so far as to insinuate the swirls had been there of my own doing.

After that, I purchased one of these for all of our cars and always keep it in the glovebox.

Hope it saves you from paint damage in the future.
