Full body ppf + ceramic worth it at $7250 ?
I am looking to pull the trigger on xpel full body ppf and full body ceramic. Got a quote of 5600 for ppf (full body except roof) and 1250 ceramic. Wheel costs $100 per wheel extra.
I am looking to keep this 2021 x5 40i msport for next 5 years, is it worth going for full body ppf, I can get front clip and side skirts done for 2500. Is the price reasonable as it will cost me 5600 + 1250 + 400 = $7250 ? |

front end, rocker panels + ceramic seems justified. may wanna consider the pillars, especially the gloss black B, C, D. my detailer is currently fixing a previously unprotected 911 prior to ppf + ceramic. looking at that front end hurts!

It's very worth it if you like having your car as pristine as possible, want to avoid swirls and want to be able to go to a hands free car wash without them damaging the looks of the car. Protects well against rock chips and scratches as well. Exterior maintenance is so much easier with full PPF and ceramic. It also gives me such great piece of mind. If you plan on keeping the car a while and it's in your budget, I would do it. Having said that, I suggest you do a lot of due diligence on your detailer. Some wrap much better than others with respect to not seeing seams etc...Your quote is not a bad price for a high quality detailer.

Personably I've went for a self applied hand polish followed by a liquid wax (autoglym products) - circa $50 of materials and a couple of hours of my own time. I wash the car myself - rinse off before wash and 2 bucket method.
I could see me going for ceramic etc if I had a super car but think it's hard to justify on an X5...to each their own though!! Good luck. |

I am being suggested by installer to consider the new suntek reaction ppf which has infused ceramic coating hence need not to go with ceramic coating separately. It comes with 12 years warranty whatever that means. So 5500 for full body any one has experience with this new ceramic infused ppf from suntek ?

Like everything, it depends. If you’re keeping the vehicle long-term and want cosmetically perfect paint and don’t want to do anything yourself, then go for it. If you want a halfway-house solution, PPF the front clip and rockers and coat the paint (but not the rims). I applied ceramic coating myself (including the rims) and wished I would have had PPF applied to the M Sport rockers, which get touched with every entry/exit.

I was leaning towards that front ppf and whole body ceramic but then ceramic gives no protection from swirls. I wash it at home and would want to make it as quick and effortless as i can full ppf will help there.

Should have been more clear... PPF full front end including full rockers and small spot in back of rear tire... rest is ceramic... switched out the front reflectors for carbon black ones... Next either no badging in rear or black badging
