Bugs!!
Can anyone recommend any products to loosen dead bugs when washing? The car is ceramic coated so any products shouldn't be harsh to remove the coating.

You have a number of options - CarPro, Blackfire, Gtechniq, or Griot's to name a few. I've used the last two and they work very well especially when paired with a microfiber bug sponge.

I keep two sprays in my car: a 50:50 mix of white vinegar and distilled water and a ceramic-safe waterless wash (Chemical Guys). You want to be gentle on that ceramic so I usually start with vinegar and step up from there.
One swipe per palm-sized area of the microfiber only and LOAD that stain up with spray first. |

Or what I do is. If I don't have any specialized products, soak a few of those bounce dryer sheets (the one you put in your clothes dryer to freshen clothes up) in water and then use that soapy water in a spray bottle to get rid of dried bugs. I was surprised at how effective it is. You can also use a soaking wet dryer sheet to wipe off the bug (just wipe on the bug using a soaked sheet and it'll take it right off). That dryer soap soaks the bug and makes getting it off extremely easy. But you have to wipe it off because it leaves a white residue when it dries up. But yes. Nothing better than that so far. And I've tried almost everything out there.

What I do for my own cars and tell clients to do, is soak them, go wash the rest of the car then come back and they should come off easily, assuming you have a high quality coating. Otherwise carpro bug off. Don't use sponges, dryer sheets etc, as it can and will cause scratches and or marring. |

i would also recommend sticking to the manufacturer that made the ceramic coating, to make sure the bug remover doesnt strip that coating off of the car. if they have some bug remover, that is.
