2024 Chevy Silverado EV unveiled - midgate is back!
2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV specs:
I was waiting for midgate to come back for years, finally. But I think Tesla will beat Chevy for the first midgate comeback on Cybertruck: https://electrek.co/2022/01/05/2024-...ower-and-more/ Last edited by Sedoy; 01-05-2022 at 02:08 PM.. |

Looks like a Ridgeline and an Avalanche had a baby. Still a pass. GMC interiors just don't do it for me. Anytime that I see the interior of a GM car/truck I imagine that the designer has said to himself, "Yes, this is what the American people want." I prefer what the Germans, Japanese and UK consumers want.
I also see BMW influence here. Mostly that steering wheel. Funny how steering wheels on lots of vehicles these days, resemble that of the BMW. |

Interior looks fine to me, kind of reminds me G05 X5 - it's a truck not a luxury vehicle after all. But speaking about designers, question: what do BMW designers say to themselves designing those giant grills... "Yes, this is what the German people want?"

Valid point. I'm pretty sure our Bavarian brethren do whatever they want.

I don't know much about trucks but the bed seems short for a Silverado sized truck? Will be interesting to see how this will stack up against the Ford Lightning.

The bed for Chevy is actually bigger at 5'-11", Ford Lightning got 5'-5", and using midgate makes it super flexible... But the damn thing weighs like a building...

As difficult as it is for me to say about a GM product, this looks impressive inside and out.
Corvette, Escalade, CT5-V, Hummer, and now this. GM actually making some desirable products for once.

I echo the sentiment, but EVs are here to stay. But I would rather have an EV truck than any of the EV cars. Trucks at least have the space for all the batteries and are heavy anyway.
Outside of being utilitarian and looking cool, trucks don’t handle well and aren’t known for driver engagement. Might as well be electric. Last edited by 5.M0NSTER; 01-06-2022 at 07:19 PM.. |

Looks good but six figures for the top-of-the-line version.

Im aware hahaha

People just aren't thinking steps ahead. Our current electrical grid can not handle the current influx of EVs that our overindulging government is asking for. Add the numerous other issues with the batteries and disposing of them, lithium mining etc, I can't understand why people think this is the right direction but I guess I answered my own question, they don't fawking care to know. Also, Ive had blistering fast AWD cars that shoot to 60 real quick, shit gets old just as quick. There is not one thing about an EV that has my appeal, not one.
