Floor Mats for new X5
I'm about to pick up a new X5 and I've been reading about different floor mat options for protection and looks. I've used Weather Tech mats in my cars for years and have been very happy. How do they compare to the BMW All Weather Floor Mats
https://www.shopbmwusa.com/product/6...HER-FLOOR-MATS or the BMW Rubber Floor Liners https://www.shopbmwusa.com/product/6...R-FLOOR-LINERS |

Does the textured finish mark it harder to quickly brush of dirt and dust? Hard to tell the depth of the texture from the photos. Oh, can you remove the logo? Or not too noticeable when installed? thx. |

the logo's are not really noticeable and the texture is pretty fine. very easy to wipe off and a lot easier then vacuuming and washing the velour mats that came with the car. I am pretty happy with them. I am not sure about logos if they can be removed. The cargo liner is awesome. it all looks really clean.

Recently picked up new x5
Dealer charged for front and rear rubber mats Does the vehicle come with the cloth/ carpet floor mats as standard because I only got the rubber ones for $500. which the dealer would not budge. My 2016 came with standard cloth and the dealer tossed in rubber mats throughout |

My 2022 G05 came with velour fabric mats. That is why I moved to the 3d mats because they looked very clean and nice but completely water and stain proof. Plus you gotta be looking for the logo which the field of view is generally covered by the seats.

I really like the Cocomats. ( https://www.cocomats.com/ ). I have the original coco mat style in both our 2015 MINI and 2019 BMW...and just change them out to rubber mats for the winter months. They have a multitude of material and color options to truly customize to your vehicle's interior. They wear well but colors do fade a bit over the years.

What has anyone used to protect the seatbacks when the back seats are folded down?
Also, are there any suggestions for a back seat cover that I can take on and off quickly for occasional use.

I use that now and will likely end up doing it for the folded seatbacks. I need something more water resistant for the seat covers.

WeatherTech and rubber
Just a comment on BMW (WeatherTech) floor mats. They may have changed now though. In 2016 I purchased a CPO 2013 X3 xDrive. a couple months later, I was at the dealer and saw in the Parts area the BMW floor mats. I am pretty sure they were manufactured by WeatherTech. They did not quite fit out to the edges and after a few months became hard. When getting in the X3 my foot would slip and they shrunk even more so that they were about a 1/2" on the sides and back to fit properly.
After the X3 I had a Suburu Ascent with rubber mats. I really liked them and will be considering BMW rubber mats again for my new X5 xDrive. |

I have the OEM boot liner since I picked the car up and I really like it. I now have the front and rear matching mats put away with my dealer - just need to get in and pick them up.
I had the rubber OEM's in my old F15 and keeping things clean in the winter and cleaning out dog hair is much easier with them. Edit: Got the OEM rubber mats front and back from my dealer. Really love the look of them. Last edited by Don Cannelloni; 09-28-2022 at 10:09 AM.. |

Sounds like a rip off. Yes my X5 came with floor mats - fine for my use. I did not have to pay extra. Find a different dealer next time.

I just bought TuxMats… they look fantastic and have great protection and were easy to install. They are from Canada and are a great alternative to Weathertech.
