You can legally sell (buy) a car with altered catless exhaust? Used to be that if this happened w/o a specific 'off road use only' disclaimer then the seller was responsible for refitting the mandated parts. Not sure if this was just in Cali and NY, and it has been a loooong time since I sold a modded car - we always made out a specific disclaimer for those.

Typical used car sales are "as is" especially in private sales. Dealerships may offer some warranty. But mod or work on a car or engine, suspension or otherwise does not void a sale. Is why they say "Buyer Beware" and a Fool and his money as soon parted... Any used car I've sold always has "As Is" on Bill of Sale. Of course I've made note of any modifications, or issues the car may have. Lol
