PDR - The Best I've Ever Seen

Long story short, my wife bumped a parking pole with the front of her 2 week old X4. She hit it pretty hard so the damage made it all the way back to her hood.

While there is still more work to be done than just the hood, all 4 of the body shops I took it to here in Atlanta wanted to replace the hood, paint the new hood and 'blend' both of the fenders. So basically, they wanted to paint 1/3 of a brand new car to fix the dent on the front lip of the hood.

Many would have been fine with this, but I'm a big fan of factory paint and doing everything possible to save it.

I called 3 PDR shops in Atlanta and they would not even touch it as the hood on the X4 is aluminum and they felt there was no way they could get a satisfactory result.

I was referred to a PDR Guru in Central Florida (Brice at https://cfldentrepair.com/ - check out the website for some crazy before/after shots). After sending him a few photos and a short video he gave me a quote (not cheap by any stretch - $1,500, but worth every penny to me), and said he could get it done.

I drove the 7 hours each way, gave him the car for a full day and it was done perfectly. It remains amazing to me that he was able to get the dent with a significant crease out completely, so you can't tell it was ever there. And, every inch of the factory paint was saved.

I could not be happier. If you have a very difficult dent to repair and nobody else wants to touch it, Brice is your guy. It's not inexpensive, requires a trip to the Daytona, Florida area but man what a job he did...photos below.

I live in Orlando and have used Brice before. I can second your opinion: if you want PDR done right, this is your guy.

Fantastic and worth every penny I think! Don't have to worry about the paint not matching up this way. Wish he wasn't so far away as I have a few projects he could do.

The PDR looks good but I’m curious what did the other body shops quote for the full repair? Doesn’t the bumper need paint or can it be buffed out? Hard to tell from the pics but is the lower bumper lip bent? A new grill is $200+.

Still another $7+k to repair everything else. Yes bumper, grill, etc, etc will need to be replaced. I can live with painted bumper as it's plastic and will fade differently anyway over time and likely will need to be repainted again for some other reason. I'm trying to save as much factory paint as I can and I'm thrilled all my painted sheet metal was saved.
