nah, i don't think that is it either. look at the headlight design. it seems like a combination of 3er and 1er. actually, the whole front reminds of E90 a lot. i doubt they would go that direction. the front lip also looks like photoshopped E90.

overall, it just doesn't look like a complete package, rather, a combination of parts put together.

the rear of the current 5 is sooo perfect. I was driving behind one today, it's understated - but in that less is more kind of way. Just so perfect. I don't think the 5 will have such a big mid-life refresh. Probably just a change of lower bumper grills (front and rear lips)

If that is for real, the new 5 series looks worse then the current one which I happen to like)...I would want a current 5er, wouldn't want this one, looks like a photoshopped E92 concept!! By the way, I also think the E90 looks better then the E92.

This CGI is just Huckfeldt's personal fantasy.

You will see a more specific design of a new 5er in about 18 months. Design process has just started, and the Board will chose the final design sometimes in the Fall 2007.

New 5er will have no design elements of the current BMW models. The design will be evolutionary though. Expect more coupeish look - with narrower greenhouse: more like MB CLS.

I prefer the current e60 tail lights. And those little rear bumper reflectors are so Japanese-like. Is there really a need for that added detail? Reminds me of something Mitsubushi would do.

I never much liked the extended eyebrows of the e60, but making the new 5er ones look like the X3 headlights doesn't help.

I agree. They're trying to make the front lights all big and the rear all "L-finesse". I actually like the current 5er better.

Hi Guys!
This German magazine often makes computer pictures like these...and if a new
car is comming out, it looks very often as before showed - so I think, the new
5 series would be come out in this way.
My personal taste - the car looks more sportive as the presently E60/61, the
new bigger rear-lights together with the bumper looks like heavier.
In the article also stand followings: The cockpit will be in direction to the driver like in the old models E39 & E46. Additionally it comes much better
interiour-materials (plastic, wood) as in presently models.
Well, let us wait a few months, than it should be given more better informations about the new star!

hahahah...man the 5er would be getting worse! I already do not like the current one...I do not like the front. If this is the new one, I would officially not like the rear either.

New concept =>
