Anyone here have their car full ppf and ceramic coating? Whats your take and cost?

Thinking about doing this for my m240i when it lands. I'm thinking its going cost about $7kish

For me, it’s worth every penny. Some will disagree.
You’re in the ball park with 7k. Looks like you’re in NJ.

Might be a bit less, since the 240 is a smaller car.

For that cost, you should get full new car prep,
PPF entire car (XPEL Plus), and at least a 3 year
ceramic coating (like Nanolex 3id).
They’ll also ceramic cost your wheels and calipers.
And treat all your windows.

If you’re in Northern NJ, or want to make the trip,
look up Detailers Domain in Norwood.

i agree with this. PPF the front end and maybe front roof area/pillars. add a ceramic as part of your annual detail and call it good. i don't see a need to PPF an entire car.

You must have money to burn, buddy. If you don't, that's a giant waste of money, especially on a 2-series.

Just do the front bumper, maybe the hood and fenders. Then slap a good sealant on there. Your car isn't made of sugar.

Can't do the A pillars & front of the roof without doing the entire roof & side panels (unless you want visible edges). Add in the rockers & rear bumper (for the splash area) and you're 75% of the way to doing the whole car.

Cost me just around $10k for all of it. There is no panel on my M3 except my front grilles that do not have PPF on them. For me it was worth every penny. I am going to keep my car for a long time, and i love the ease of washing it. The gloss is insane too. I can wipe the car down without having to worry about micro scratches.

It may not be worth it to most, but for some of us that are OCD, it's worth it.

My recommendations:
If you're going to keep the car for 5+ years, it's worth it.
If you're going to keep the car for 2 years then trade it in, it's not worth PPF
If it's a lease, don't even bother.

Full body vs front end is up to you. MOST people will be fine with a full front end. I don't like seeing seams.

I plan on keeping both of my cars 8+ years so I did entire car PPF for both. $7k each for both.

I have had just the high impact areas ppf'ed in the past, but I have a new i7 ordered and I'm thinking about having the entire car done when it arrives. My concern is the install. I have seen videos of some places taking apart the car to make sure all the edges are tucked (removing trim, door handles, bumpers, ...). I'm not sure I trust them to put everything back together properly. Has anyone had any issues?

This is why I asked my PPF installer not to remove any parts. They tucked seams where possible, but there is a visible seam under the door handle and a few other parts. I'm okay with that instead of taking apart a brand new car.

My shop removed everything, did a very neat job and I was more than satisfied with their work. I have referred my friends to them who were also extremely pleased.

You have to do your homework, research the shops in your area, read the online reviews and then visit them and check out their work in person.

If you plan to keep the car forever, then I guess PPF might be worth it. But most don't keep the car more than 3 to 4 years and rock chips up front do not decrease the value of the car. Nor does a perfect paint increase the value.

IMO PPF is too expensive and isn't worth it. If you open to putting it in little bit of work, you can do ceramic coating yourself. It may not be as pro as a shop but it'll be good to protect your car.

I love PPF + Ceramic Coating, but not the whole vehicle. This time I did whole front, mirror caps, door handle cups, the small step on the rear door, door sills and rocker panel....and yes, I plan on keeping this bad boy until wheels fall off

I opt for a full front PPF, which includes the bumper, lights, hood, fenders, and mirrors, and I also add the rocker panels. Then I have the entire car ceramic coated. I get tint and a bunch of other extras, and it all comes to around $6k. My wife's car is currently receiving these services, and I should be taking delivery next week. After that, I'll be dropping my car off to get the same treatment.

In west coast FL area my place charges $6,800 for full ppf and ceramic. I like the full ppf because with all the birds pooping I don’t have to freak out if it happens in the sun and I missed it.

Don't forget to ppf your exhaust. Very important and most people don't talk about it
