xpel ceramic coated - car wash soap recommendation
I have front of '24 X7 PPF'd (xpel) (hood, a-pillars etc.,) and ceramic coated the car (xpel fusion plus). Was thinking of buying foaming ph-neutral soap/shampoo and came across Adams Graphene Shampoo which seems to indicate it's 'ceramic friendly'. Any suggestions if this or what is best to use?

I just had my M3 ceramic coated using CQuartz Professional by a reputable shop with a lot of experience. He told me that Meguiar's Gold Class soap will work just fine so that's what I bought.

I'd read however, and it says on their page, this particular soap will "condition paint" and so I was always unsure if it left something behind. The label on it also says it's "shampoo and conditioner". I don't know what's in it, or if it's bad at all, but many soaps do include waxes and such, and the Meguiars terminology makes me second guess it. I know you can't hurt a ceramic coating at all but my gut feeling is to not mix and match protection types. Not that much will stick to a clean ceramic coating anyhow... But if you do as a next step spray on any sort of supposed ceramic booster, Again I'd reconsider having any sort of other waxes or polymers under it. Just something to think about. +1 on the Meguiars. Seems to have preserved the ceramic on three cars I have where it has been applied.

I have front end PPF and entire car ceramic coated. I use Meguiars and don't have any issues. I only was my car once a month so that probably helps too.

I think it's the Ultimate Car Wash. It was recommended by the place that applied the ceramic. I also do a touch up with the ceramic spray twice a year.
Hope this helps. -Doc

I use Chemical Guys Hydrosuds Ceramic Car Wash Soap. I also have XPel Fusion Plus on my car. It has silicone oxide, which supposedly protects the ceramic finish.

I use the following for my coated car, a good pre wash (carpro lift) when its really dirty and then wash with car pro reset (or use only reset when car isn't too dirty).

So let me get this straight. You pay a large sum of money for a ceramic coating, a supposed level of protection higher than whatever is on the market. Yet you are worried about using a "ph balanced" soap? If it can't even stand up against a car wash soap, it won't stand up to much else either.

Meguiar's Gold Class leaves surfactant film and some polymers behind. It will affect the repellency of the coating a bit. I would use Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions PRO Pure Wash or CarPro Reset. Neither leave anything behind, the TW has polymers for slickness only. Use this as your normal wash. When it gets clogged and stops beading, use an acidic soap like Labocosmetica Purifica, CarPro Descale, or Adam's Strip Wash (yellow).
