Who's going to mod their G90 M5 Sedan / G99 M5 Touring?

I’m curious who is going to be modding these. I have a bad history of not leaving cars alone, but this time I think I will.

With a new drivetrain like this, it seems things could get expensive FAST.

I think I may just do intake and exhaust. No tunes or piggyback for me this time, but I’m curious to hear what others are thinking.

Garage List
I think it would be straight-up retarded to mess with these cars. The cost of fixing out-of-warranty engine failures or PHEV failures will be astronomical. And for what? To go maybe 1/4 of a second faster from 0-60?

I am the crazy to do it
I had jb4 intake and inlet and drop in filters on my M8s and previous cars and this will be the same
The engine is way undertuned and it will wake up with a tune
XM people did not have problems with piggy back

I’ve thrown a piggyback on every BMW I’ve owned, and if i got an F90 it wouldn’t be any different. I never care about 0-60 times, but I love the way it knocks the dust off the factory-tuned throttle response. I usually just run a low-ish map fwiw, and typically will run a res delete/x pipe and that’s it.

Not messing with the drivetrain. I didn't on my F95 either. No point having that risk to be .2 secs faster. I rather drive it without any worries at all.

I will work on the usual aesthetics mods like I always do but might not go as extreme since it is a new platform and don't want to deal with the headaches of a buyback situation with a fully modded car. Been there done that and it was a headache.

I will be doing drop in air filters and taking out the charcoal filter, carbon Turbo inlets, secondary DPs, and full Exhaust. As soon as the tunes come out, I will be doing a stage 1 Carbahn tune so I don't affect the warranty.

Does Carbahn match the factory warranty like Dinan does? I may go with Dinan tune since they match the warranty.

The problem with matching the car warranty is when u start reading the fine prints
If you put an intake or downpipe on your car and it was not part of the package they will not cover you
Any mod outside the tune can void the tune the same as bmw warranty
People will always find a way not to cover you when something happens

I would feel comfortable with the Dinan warranty as long as you are using all Dinan parts. It if you start adding things not made by Dinan like downpipes that is where you can have issues.

Dinan and APR are owned by the same company and operate out of the same building in Alabama. Being owned by a large public company, you know there is something. Whine the warranty.

Dinan offer warranty on some mods
But for example the piggy back dinantronic X that increases HP does not have warranty
