G99 - Colour was the hardest decision on this car.


I went from Black Sapphire to Space Silver Metallic and recently changed to Storm Bay Metallic.

Was thinking of changing it back.

My dealer will kill me!!!

I'm going to try to order Oxford Green Metallic. Hoping for a brown interior option by the time I order it.

I'm an E34 guy and always wanted an Avus Blau E34 M5. Instead, I settled for a black/black one in 2004....a car I still have.

I chose Blue Hera Mica Metallic for my G99 order (after a brief think on Malachite Green II) because I felt like it is the modern version of Avus. A couple folks at my dealer had been trying to push me toward Oxford....good choice.

I'd prefer tartufo interior but silverstone works with my blue so I'll deal with it.

After being disappointed with the red option for the G99 (I just couldn't make myself like Vegas in the flesh) I went with Imola Red II...I was very close to going with a green, but the lack of a tan/brown interior pushed me away.

Originally I really wanted the Marina Bay Blue, but I switched and bought a Storm Bay Metallic this week and absolutely love the color.

Haven't been able to drive it too much yet, but I'm very curious to see how it feels compared to my Blackwing

I agree color is a hard decision for this car. I typically am a blue car guy and Marina Bay is so hard to not consider again (have it on my X5M now). While there are other beautiful blues out there not many of them pull off what MBB does combining classy with bold at the same time.

Now if i went away from blues Imola or Ferrari red would be high on my list. I just wish they offered tartufo or some sort of brown interior to go with it.

Personally think the G99 needs to be in a bright color. It needs to pop to offset the old man stigma associated with a "wagon".

I'm going with C5L Blue Bay Lagoon Metallic. This is the closest color to my beloved X5M in Daytona Beach Blue over light brown merino leather. 8 years later and it is still a head turner.....
