G99 M5 IOMG in stealth wrap

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
I’ve taken delivery of my G99. I debated colours so much but went with Isle of Man Green but put a matt wrap on the car. Posting some pictures here in case I to era are considering same. I had an X5M before and I am really enjoying the new car.

Looks great! Congratulations!

And here, I thought my mind was made up on clear PPF for IOMG. I have another 5 months to sort it out haha. Strongly considering this!

If you did not do a stealth wrap on the roof, can you please upload some pictures showing the contrast between the reflective roof and the rest of the car? I'm thinking about doing that with my M5...

Thank you for this post. I have a week 12 build G99 in IOMG. I have been trying to decide on the stealth PPF.
After seeing these pictures, you will see a matching G99 in Cincinnati.

Week 12 build here too.

After sleeping on it, looks like we may have Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Ontario covered with Stealth wrapped IOMG G99s.

I saw your car at the dealership last week. Looks even BETTER in person.

Congrats. Still waiting for mine

Not sure about the stealth on the IOMG. Makes it look like it’s dirty/dusty.

IOMG is such a vibrant and beautiful color in gloss.

I did this to my G80 and I love it looks like the CS frozen IOMG but with the properties of a PPF protecting the paint its amazing.

I have IOMG on my XM. It looks good in matte, but you lose a lot of the depth when doing this.

I garage mine every night & it’s not my daily.
I’m not really seeing the value in 5 or 6k for a full PPF. I’ll probably not keep the car longer than 3 or 4yrs and have decent parking at most of the destinations I’ll be going to with it.

However, quoted as follows for front end only:

Xpel PPF to:

Headlamps
A pillars
B pillars
Gloss black bumper pieces
Luggage strip on the rear bumper

€2,870 /US$2,950

(Not sure if above includes bonnet/hood but assume it does.)

Any opinions on this appreciated.

+1. IOMG is bright and joyful but with this, it looks 2 dimensional.

those g80/g82 m front ends are growing on me BIG time.. and I just bought an e92
.

maybe it’s time to sell my other car that isn’t an m3 and pick up a g80 wagon or something. cause i sure as hell aint selling the e92, that’s a “for life” car.

yeah im not a fan of frozen/matte/satin on any of these cars.

dont think anything will ever beat the wet glossy look for me. especially with something like java green or voodoo/santorini blue

it’s getting a low compression supercharged build in about a month.
ess vt3, mahle LC pistons, carillo rods, VAC clevite coated main bearings and rod bearings, liquid meth injection kit, dual fuel pumps and larger injectors, all radiators being replaced with CSF radiators, carbon driveshaft, full titanium catless exhaust, wider flow headers. and BBS FI-R wheels with an AP racing big brake kit. will be running about 12.5 psi.

when done at ESS in arizona should yield around 650+ at the wheels, 730ish at the crank on 93 octane, would be stupid numbers with e85.

it’s just the best car BMW ever made IMO. I bought it knowing i’d pay more than the cost of the car building it.

i’ll be making a dedicated thread on the build as it’s being built.

you will. cherry on top will be a nice carbon hood (Challenge or that boutique race company from germany, m24 or something) to offset A LITTLE bit of weight from the front axle. (like 25lbs tops) albeit not at all cost effective.
it’s also getting stickier discs in the DCT to deal with the power. and recaro pole positions.
