135i V.S. S80
So I have the "Traction" magazine Third Issue May/June 2008 and on the cover is the Volvo S80 HPC T6 AWD V6-Turbocharged (Rnning on E85 Bioethanol fuel)... producing 350hp @ 5,500rpm and 405lbs ft trq between 1,500 and 4,000rpm...
sounds verrrry nice... (Heico seems to mod volvo's very nicely) Idk if theres only one of these but it exists.. stock the S80 T6 V6 AWD makes 281hp and 295lb ft trq.. and the V8 AWD makes 311hp and 325lbs ft trq. How would yall compare either of these Volvo's to the 135i?

Pretty nice looking car, but certainly a far cry from stock. Out of the box, the 135i will eat it up.

I'll just say this. The shortest time of any car I've ever owned was my Volvo S60R. The theory behind the car was fantastic - Turbo I5 300hp/300 lbs/ft AWD.
However, the reliability was mediocre and the dealer network was clueless. And believe me, I tried a few. The S80 is a big car and I'm not sure how or why anyone would compare it to a 135 - no offense. |

Poor Volvo, poor Saab. They're lines are old and stale. I'd say it's doubtful either one will get any further investment from Ford or GM so it's possible (probable) they may become wards of the Swedish state.
