I would like to do this before i take delivery of my car, can anyone suggest a good school where i can learn car control, drifting, and tracking a car? I would prefer something in california but that is not necessary.

Check out Bondurant in Phoenix. Awesome school.

Bondurant is probably the gold standard. But, most of their courses do start at $1,000+.

If you are looking for something a little cheaper, you might look at the tracks around you for some of their daily clinics. For example, I know Buttonwillow up near Bakersfield offers day sessions at a little more approachable price. Other forums have mentioned good things about them.

i think i may do button willow once i get my car then because you have to bring your own car but it is very reasonable at only 225 bucks a day.
