Nice. This fills in the gap in Speed's coverage. Seriously. I came home, turned on Speed expecting to see some racing...and got nascar qualifications instead...

Could they cover the other classes besides P1 any less? They spend so much time on the damn prototypes, Audi/Puegot. I watched thirty minutes of it this am and they spent a total of about 4 minutes on the other three classes. Just ridiculous!

Agreed. They need to cover GT1 more. I like the actual sports cars a bit better than the prototypes. Don't get me wrong the new Audi car is badass looking...but I want to see the Aston Martin Team that I support so fervently.

Looks like the M3's a loser in this race. Which is funny because one of the guy's at M3Post was saying everybody was fearing BMW's return... what a joke.

I really hope Peugeot wins this one; Acura looks like it's out of it's league in P1 (or the rule changes still haven't given gas engines a chance... yet).

everybody should fear bmw's return. if you look back in the e46 m3 gtr history it was completely dominating until porsche claimed it was not qualified. so bmw had to follow regulations and sell the gtrs to the public.

when the m3 came back it once again dominated the competition and was followed by many wins such as the 24 hour ring along with many others.

i believe rahal racing only put 1 m3 out there too am i correct?

Two of them are out there; as far as I know the one which had problems starting was the first casualty of the race.

But from what I saw in the first hour of the race, it wasn't anything special.

ALMS handed down a last minute further HP restriction for the M3 cause they didn't want it racing out ahead of the field. The tight regs ALMS has on the M3 should change as the season progresses. Still BS they are hampering it now and so little coverage on anything but P1. Terrible work SpeedTV.

Disappointing about RL BMW team...oh well. In P1, Acura got their ass handed to them by the Germans, and French...Speed does favor P1 a bit more. We'll see how the season unfolds. I am a Risi fan, and happy they won though. Don't hate I'm pulling for BMW!

Sounds like you're happy in the fact the E92 M3's maiden race didn't fare so well? I would hope not. I watched much of the race and thought the M3 showed a good pace. Sure looked good out there. They'll work the bugs out. Sebring is a brutle course. Nonetheless I was happy to see BMW participate in something other than WTCC (in terms of production based cars).
