996 does nothing for me. 997 = sex.

nice. well the best thing to do would be to drive both and see what fits your preferences more.
like blake said, the M3 probably would make a better daily driver but i know plenty of people who daily drive their 996tt's with no complaints. though i have to disagree with the happier part BMWs and porsches are two very different cars. both have their pros and cons. |

I went for the //M from a maintenance standpoint. I tend to drive a lot and the 996 would deplete my wallet.

M3
no hassles with a new car, + the 996 looks so out-dated with the 997 out...

I guess I'm going against the grain here, but I'd go with the P-car. None of the Carrera's look outdated to me, they just become classics. But I also think the E36 and E46 M3's are classic, heh.

Here we have a 2003 Porsche Twin Turbo that Wicked Motor Works converted to the New Generation 2008 Porsche 997 GT2 Body Style. They took a 2003 Porsche Twin Turbo and converted the front end to our 997 body conversion, using only Brand New Factory OEM Porsche 997 Parts. They also convert the wiring system so that the 997 lights will work on the 997 vehicle. Once the front end conversion has been completed, they moved to the rear. Removed the factory rear 996 Turbo Quarter Panels and install Brand New Factory OEM 997 GT2 Quarter Panels. This phase takes a lot of Structural customization and fabrication and take 5-6 weeks alone. Once the front and rear structures have been completely converted from a 996 Turbo to a 997 GT2, they then added the 2008 GT2 Style Front bumper, with all of the factory Grills and Lights, then they moved to the rear and add on the 2008 GT2 Style Rear Bumper, with all of the required Exhaust modifications to relocate the exhaust tips so they exit through the new updated 2008 GT2 rear Bumper Look + dual black exhausts. Then they added the New 2008 GT2 Style Rear Decklid and Wing, they made the rear edge blade of the wing in Carbon Fiber to add a very aggressive look. The Rocker panels were fabricated by Wicked in steel. They painted the car in the new 2008 GT2 White color. For the Wheels, they added custom 19" 3-pc Wheels, which we powder coated in Satin Black and added the matching White outer Ring Stripe to tie it in with the car and give it a racing Sporty Look. When they moved into the Interior, they wanted to tie the exterior in with the interior so we replaced the seats with Factory Sport Seats with matching rear White Seat Backs, we also color matched the center console, door pockets, door handles and gauge pod surround to give the interior a very custom and sporty look and feel. 35,000 miles. Asking 67K.
It is a very well done Frankenstein. Why would I choose something like this.... |
