why didn't they recognize "Giant Rims As Standard Equipment" too?
Or, what about the 85 mph speedo of the 80's. I guess that wasn't a fad but a mandate?

Yeah, that wasn't a fad, as such, as no one WANTED to do it.

And some of the things in that article are just wrong. Like the Carrera script on Porsches. It was NOT an "80s" thing done by Gordon Gecko wannabes, as it started on the '73 Carrera, a bona-fide classic:



These sorts of lists tend to devolve into a "who can hate more than who" contest, sad to say.

another chance for the media to hate on big suv's, which are not going away, people still need to tow boats, trailers, campers, every single weekend the local lake docks, and campgrounds are packed to capacity, try that with a little car. No wait, dont, I've seen top gear, we dont need that here too

I agree. It also looks great on the E39 M5 and E36 M3.
